From zero,
up and running in five minutes.

No sign-up at any point; everyday use doesn't rely on a network. The Android Internal Alpha is in closed testing — all you need is your master password to start managing three of the most private kinds of personal data.

Quick start

Four steps
to your private space

Start with one master password. From there, the same intuitive flow lets you add, search and review your content.

Get your master password

The first time you open the app, Keepspire can generate a high-strength random passphrase as your master password, which you must store safely offline. Only you hold it — Keepspire, the developer and the cloud cannot retrieve it for you.

  • Record your master password / passphrase accurately
  • Store it safely in a trusted, offline way
  • Never share it with anyone

Unlock and go in

After that, each time you can enter your master password, or choose to enable device biometrics to cut down on typing a long passphrase every day. When biometrics aren't available, you still unlock with your master password / passphrase.

  • Biometrics are optional — not using them doesn't affect the app
  • Fingerprint / face unlock is only a convenient device entry point, not a replacement for your master password
  • The app locks automatically when it goes to the background

Start recording

Open the password manager, private journal or finance tracker and tap the “+” button to add. All three modules follow the same flow.

  • Passwords: sites, accounts, passwords & notes
  • Journal: text, mood, tags & photos
  • Finance: amount, type, category & currency

Search and review

Use one search box to find data across all three modules; finance records are also turned into charts to help you see income-and-spending trends.

  • Cross-module search
  • Finance categories and trend charts
  • Every everyday action stays offline-first
Backup & restore

Backup & restore

You can create an encrypted backup (SNCB3 format) and restore your vault yourself; moving to a new phone also goes through the encrypted backup-and-restore flow.

Create a backup

In Settings, choose “Back up vault”. Make local backups regularly as your fallback for a new phone or a lost master password.

Restore a backup

In Settings, choose “Restore backup” to restore your vault from a backup.

New phone

Direct device transfer (Wi-Fi / QR) is currently unavailable; to switch phones, use the encrypted backup-and-restore flow.

Recovery shards

What if you lose your master password

Keepspire has no official backdoor. If you lose your master password, you can only rely on the recovery you set up beforehand — a local backup, or recovery shards that keep recovery material in separate places (recovery needs the threshold number of shards).

Recovery shards

Recovery shards let you keep recovery material split across different places, avoiding a single point of loss.

If you lose enough shards, recovery may be impossible.

Local backup

Make local backups regularly as your fallback for a new phone or a lost master password.

Keepspire, the developer and the cloud cannot decrypt or retrieve your master password for you. Without setting up these mechanisms, data can be lost for good.

!

Before you start, remember: there is no official recovery for your master password.

Having no backdoor is part of the security model. Once forgotten, data can be lost for good. Store your master password / passphrase safely and create a backup; don't rely on biometrics or memory alone.

Everyday tips

Everyday peace of mind

A few simple habits can markedly cut the risk from a lost device, someone peeking, or a forgotten master password.

TIP 01

Make your master password long

Whether you use a system-generated passphrase or your own master password, length matters more than fancy substitutions; avoid reusing passwords from other services.

TIP 02

Back up regularly

Your data is local-first, so confirm a backup especially before changing or losing a device.

TIP 03

Lock when you step away

Make good use of auto-lock, and avoid showing sensitive content for long in public.

The guide is ready; the public release still has security gates to clear.

The Android Internal Alpha is in closed testing; iOS is not yet verified. The public download date will be announced after an independent third-party security audit is complete.
